On behalf of the Archbishop Spalding High School baseball team, coaches and families, we would like to thank the Southeastern baseball Classic Committee, host families and countless volunteers for making the SBC such a complete success and a great pleasure for us all. The competition was top flight, the hospitality unmatched, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. Special thanks to our host Jim Cole. His constant support during our visit was greatly appreciated, as well as the numerous volunteers who prepared the wonderful meals and kept Jimmy White Park such a great venue for these games. Hartsville is obviously proud of SBC, and rightfully so. The Spalding Cavaliers thank you all for making us part of the 2010 Classic.

I want to thank the City of Hartsville and the SBC Scholarship Committee for honoring me with a prestigious academic leadership scholarship. It will certainly help me with my college expenses. I also thank the Mayor for coming out and presenting me the award. And the guest speaker, Tommy John, provided all players very encouraging words of wisdom. As for the Classic, this was my second year; and, again, I had a great time. Although PVI did not win the championship this year, my experience was just as rewarding as last year. The many volunteers who help run the tournament and the host families truly showed us what "southern hospitality" is all about. Both years, the grounds-crews did great jobs with preparing the fields around the rain showers. And the cooks -- wow, the food was GREAT (especially that meat/rice dish on Saturday)!!! The SBC and City of Hartsville have provided me some good memories for a life-time. Thanks again!!!

On behalf of the Hanna Players, let me say Thank You to the members of the Committee, the Grounds Crews and volunteers and most importantly the Host Families for their help, encouragement and support. The Host Families for Hanna went out of their way to make sure our guys had every thing they needed, were where they needed to be when they needed to be there and made sure they had plenty of what they needed when they got there. Their support on the fence line, even late into Saturday night, was great. Winning the Tourney was a big plus, but never the less, all of the event was well run and very much enjoyed. Many thanks to Angie and Julie for the local restaurant tips and points of interest for the players' families. It really added to The Hartsville Experience. Again, many thanks to you all, and we look forward to seeing you all next year.
